Dentist Crossing leaned into the absurdity of the category (taking the anxiety, the dread, the whole theatrical experience of going to the dentist) and played it for laughs. The work stood out precisely because it didn’t take itself seriously. Which, as it turns out, is a pretty good way to get people to actually pay attention to a dental ad.
